Representative Alia Nassif, Deputy Head of the State of Law Coalition group, disclosed on Thursday that the announcement of the cabinet reshuffle is forthcoming, stating that the filtering of undersecretaries of the ministries would be announced in the coming days.
According to Nassif, “the meeting that brought Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ Al-Sudani together with the head and members of the State of Law coalition yesterday, Wednesday, discussed several issues related to electricity, water, oil, borders, and ministerial change.”
“The process of filtering undersecretaries of ministries will be announced soon, and immediately after that, the ministerial change will take place,” she added, “since Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani confirmed that he has a full assessment of all ministers, and there are a number of ministers who will be replaced due to incompetence.”
It is worth noting that Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani met with members of the State of Law caucus in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, only hours after meeting with the coalition’s leader, Nuri al-Maliki.
