Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani arrived in New York City, United States of America, on Monday.
According to a statement obtained by Shafaq News Agency from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, “Al-Sudani arrived in New York to participate in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, in its seventy-eighth session.”
Al-Sudani departed Baghdad last evening, Sunday, on his way to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly’s 78th session.
This was revealed in a brief statement released by his media office and obtained by Shafaq News Agency.
According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, the Iraqi delegation, led by Al-Sudani and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, will attend United Nations General Assembly sessions and meet with several international leaders.
Hussein came in New York on Friday to prepare for the Prime Minister’s visit and to participate in United Nations General Assembly meetings.
