On Friday, a security source in Anbar Governorate claimed that three US Army personnel were killed and injured as a result of the attack on Ain al-Asad Air Base, west of Anbar.
“Leaked information indicates that three Americans were killed following the targeting of the Ain al-Asad air base in the Al-Baghdadi district of Hit district, west of Anbar, by drones and missiles,” the source claimed in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency. The injured were flown to an undisclosed destination by American planes.”
He said, “The attack on Ain al-Assad base also resulted in material damage to buildings belonging to the American army inside the base building, and the extent of the losses was not determined due to the strict measures taken by the American forces.”
He also pointed out that “the American forces imposed a security cordon on the base building and prevented the security forces from approaching the entrance to the base.”
