Parliamentary Finance denies the existence of a movement to dismiss the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq

On Tuesday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee rejected the existence of a parliamentary campaign to remove Central Bank Governor Ali Al-Alaq.

In a statement obtained by Shafaq story Agency, the committee’s chairman, Atwan Al-Atwani, stated, “We categorically deny the news circulating regarding the Parliamentary Finance Committee’s intention to dismiss the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq.”

Al-Atwani urged the media to accept the committee’s official news, emphasizing “the committee’s full support for the Central Bank of Iraq’s measures to restore market stability and control the exchange rate, and we are in constant communication and coordination in order to address the causes and obstacles with the goal of putting things back in order.”
