More than 167 thousand for 100 dollars…a significant increase in dollar prices in Baghdad and Erbil

With the shutdown, dollar prices jumped dramatically in Baghdad and Erbil, the Kurdistan Region’s capital, on Monday.

According to a Shafaq News journalist, dollar prices surged with the closing of the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock markets, reaching 166,800 dinars to one dollar, whereas prices this morning were 164,250 dinars to one dollar.

According to our reporter, selling prices at exchange shops in Baghdad’s local markets increased, with the selling price reaching 167,750 Iraqi dinars for 100 dollars and the purchasing price reaching 165,750 dinars for 100 dollars.

In Erbil, the dollar rose as well, with the selling price reaching 166,250 dinars per 100 dollars and the purchasing price reaching 166,150 dinars per 100 dollars.
