On Tuesday, a security source in Anbar Governorate reported hearing two strong explosions that shook the Ain al-Asad base building west of Anbar.

According to the source, Al-Maalouma Agency, “Security forces stationed near Ain Al-Assad Air Base in Al-Baghdadi district of Hit district, west of Anbar, heard two violent explosions from inside the base building without knowing which American site was targeted.”

He went on to say, “The two explosions resulted from targeting the base building with two drones,” and pointed out that “the American air defenses failed to respond to an attack by two drones after they penetrated the security fortifications of the base building.”

He went on to say that “the American air defenses intensively fired a number of gunfire into the air after being attacked,” and he added that “the security situation in all Anbar cities is safe and stable without any case of infiltration or security breach recorded.”

It is worth mentioning that Ain al-Assad Air Base is occasionally subjected to two missile assaults and drone attacks, despite American air defenses’ incapacity to stop them.
