The conversion rate for the US dollar plummeted below 160 thousand Iraqi dinars for each $100 note in the offices of exchange businesses around Baghdad this evening, Sunday. This is the first time they have dipped below this level following a volatile week in which exchange rates hit 165 thousand dinars.
