According to a security source in Anbar Governorate, American soldiers implemented severe security measures on the Ain al-Asad facility on Sunday.

According to the source, Al-Maalouma Agency, “The American forces imposed strict security measures on the Ain Al-Asad air base in the Al-Baghdadi district of Hit district, west of Anbar, against the backdrop of leaked information indicating the imminent arrival of a high-ranking American official to the base building.”

He went on to say, “The American aircraft provided an air umbrella over the Al-Assad base building amid intense flights of military aircraft flying in the skies of the Al-Baghdadi district, reaching the areas of the border strip with Syria.”

He went on to say that “the Syrian Al-Tanf base took similar measures, while ground forces launched areas near the Trebil border crossing with Jordan for unclear reasons.”

He went on to say that “the American forces conducted aerial reconnaissance operations that included the road linking the Anbar and Mosul governorates,” and pointed out that “the security leaders do not have any information about American movements.”
