Al-Sadr directs his supporters: Do not attack their “corrupt” elections and preserve Iraq’s stability

Muqtada al-Sadr, the head of the Sadrist movement, instructed his followers on Wednesday not to attack electoral centers for the provincial council elections, which he termed as “corrupt elections.”

“We are people who are purified of the filth of their corruption and the ploy of their elections,” Al-Sadr remarked on the “X” platform (previously Twitter). They are corrupt individuals… and God despises corruption. So remain clean and refrain from attacking their corrupt elections… in order to protect Iraq’s security and stability, as well as Gaza’s dignity. After his caliphate was stolen and his beloved Fatima al-Zahra was attacked, the Commander of the Faithful maintained stability. Iraq is your obligation, as is religion, and doctrine is your responsibility.”
