Mahmoud Al-Hayani, the leader of the Al-Fatah Alliance, stated on Sunday that there is a flaw in the work of the Presidency of Parliament and the system of the current session in general, while emphasizing that parliamentarians have the ability to change and determine the course of action rather than inaction.
According to Al-Hayani, in an interview with the Ma “There is continuous targeting by some representatives of the leaders of the political blocs without calling for the legislation of laws,” and he added that “the weakness of the management of the Presidency of Parliament has negatively affected parliamentary work during the current legislative session.”
“The failure to approve important laws is due to the Presidency of Parliament’s weakness in setting dates,” he stated.
He went on to say: “The preoccupation of the majority of representatives with concluding contracts and projects will lead to failure to legislate laws and failure to adhere to the entire Parliament’s work schedule,” pointing out that “there is an imbalance in the work of the Presidency of Parliament and the system of the current session in general.”
Muhammad al-Halbousi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, continues to utilize his legislative position for electoral propaganda and strictly political objectives, leaving numerous laws and files unfinished, despite the fact that the majority of them have reached the final reading.
