Ali Al-Fatlawi, a member of the Al-Fatah Alliance, called on the government today, Wednesday, to start toward building air defenses and advanced radar equipment, emphasizing that Turkey’s bombing and military intervention had reached a critical level that cannot be ignored.
“Iraq is proceeding with international diplomatic measures to end Turkish military transgressions on Iraqi territory,” Al-Fatlawi said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, noting that “Al-Sudani has called on more than one occasion not to use Iraq as a means to settle scores and carry out attacks.”
He went on to say, “The government is required to preserve the independence and sovereignty of Iraq from the external attacks that Ankara has been carrying out for years,” adding that “it is necessary for the government to move towards installing air defenses and modern radar devices.”
Al-Fatlawi ended by saying: “Activating the security apparatus and introducing air defenses is a matter of utmost importance in order to limit the ongoing military violations against the country,” stating that “Turkey’s bombing and military incursion have reached a stage that cannot be silenced.”
